FAQ
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Yes I do. I do require travel and 2-day lodging to be paid by the client, in addition to my service fee.
DO I NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
THERE ARE MANY REASONS WHY YOU MAY WANT TO ADD A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER FOR YOU WEDDING. HERE ARE A FEW SCENARIOS WHERE THEY SHINE!
- Getting Ready: One photographer cannot be in two places at the same time. If you would like pre-ceremony photos of both of you, then adding a 2nd photographer can make the logistics a lot easier. Also, if time is tight on your wedding you can use the pre-ceremony time with your two photographers to capture bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits in separate locations.
-Ceremony: Your primary photographer will be focused on capturing all of the “must have” shots. A second shooter has more freedom to capture the unique angles and candid moments that can really add that special something to your ceremony coverage.
- Portraits: During portrait sessions, a 2nd shooter can add value in quite a few areas. Most importantly, they are available to assist your main photographer with posing and directing your group as well as tackling any challenges that arise. Also, as photographers, we find it helpful to bounce ideas back and forth with another photographer, as well as handing the reigns over for a few minutes while we plan the next portrait idea. During group sessions, another set of eyes helps to capture unique angles and closeup expressions of your bridal party. Lastly with two photographers you are able to divide your party into smaller groups in order to save time. Bridesmaids and groomsmen for example.
- Cocktail hour: Sometimes it can be difficult or impossible for your main photographer to get photos of the room details or your guests during cocktail hour. Especially if you elect to do all of your portraits after the ceremony. A second photographer can take care of these while your main shooter is busy with your portrait sessions.
- Final thoughts: More is more. With a second shooter, you will simply be able to capture more of the amazing moments of your wedding.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
In most cases yes. Depends on availability.
What kind of gear do you use?
I use Sony Alpha cameras. I have studio lighting and backdrops for on-location shoots.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No. You have the option order prints through my website or any other photo print company.
Do you recommend make-up for ladies?
Make-up is optional, however I believe the more glamorous you feel, the more glamorous you will feel (with or without make-up). Also, no make-up or very little make-up is better than a bad make-up job. A professional make-up artist is always highly recommended.
Should I iron my clothes for a photoshoot?
Definitely. Wrinkles cannot be hidden. I recommend making adjustments to not show-up to the photoshoot with wrinkled clothing.
